Keeping up with something a little new + fun for this Tuesday. A couple times a month or once a month (seems to be my track record so far… Ha!) I’ll be blogging about my weekends. A little behind the scenes of Life with Ashley Rene… sounds so official! Haha!! These posts will have sneak peeks from sessions, a little about each couple or family, + everything country cottage. Thats what we call our house, just in case you’re new around here. I hope you enjoy :)

These last 4 weeks have been filled with weddings, a newborn girl, & a family session. I’m still working on editing the family session so they will be included in the next blog post. A little teaser so you’ll come back for more ;)

June is also my birthday month!! I love birthdays so in our house we have whats called Birthday Week. Haha! We decorate the house, plan something enjoyable for each night, and buy one big gift. Usually it’s a night by the fire, a very nice dinner (lamb saag is my go too - sometimes sushi), and a lot of whiskey. Mike is a master mixologist and will come up with a new drink every year. I’m looking forward to seeing and tasting what he comes up with this year!!

My big gift was a total surprise… Kayaks!!! To make it even better, we were able to buy two. Now we can enjoy kayaking together or I can take a friend. Last night Mike +I took them for a spin on the farmers pond. We wanted to practice before our trip to Buckeye Lake next week. It was very relaxing. The sun was setting and the frogs were out. Talk about a great evening!!

May 11th was Darlene + Keith’s wedding in St. Marys Ohio. It was my first time visiting the little town and I immediately fell in love. It had all that small town charm you see in movies. Keith is my sister-in-laws father and also a Pastor. They were married at his church and the whole community come out to witness their vows. Another perk of a small town!!

May 18th was Emily + Ryans wedding. We started their day at her uncles house in German Village and let me tell you, his backyard was a dream!! We then ventured to Lindey’s, where Ryan is a chef. They were kind enough to clear out the bar to allow us to take some fun photos. Up next was Franklin Park Conservatory, where Ryan proposed to Emily, and they practiced their first dance. It was extremely sweet to witness!! Last spot was the Arena District. They are both HUGE Blue Jackets fans so we took some fun photos in front of the stadium and then moved across he street to the McFerson Commons or the Arch Park. It was a sunny, hot day, but with the help of mini fans and their great personalities, we had a blast!!

Memorial Weekend was completely booked with all kinds of sessions. Saturday was Irie + Rob’s wedding day. Sunday was Courtney’s family session. You might remember her from my last weekend wrap up where we had Max’s first birthday session. More of their family session in the next blog post. Monday was Miss Eleanor’s newborn session. Her parents are also past Ashley Rene couples. I photographed their wedding in 2016.

May 25th was spent celebrating Irie + Rob. They came into town from Philadelphia to get married at St. Leo in Columbus and Creekside Event Center in Gahanna. Let me tell you, the day was pure magic!! The love these two share is truly inspirational and we enjoyed capturing every moment of their wedding day!!

May 27th was spent with little Miss Eleanor. She was 6 days new and wonderful to photograph. She slept almost the whole time, didn’t seem to mind us moving her around in all kinds of poses and gave me ALL the baby fever!!! I cannot wait to watch her grow up.

That brings me to last weekend. June 1st was Julie + James wedding. We celebrated at Our Lady of Victory and The Sheraton Columbus at Capitol Square. After the ceremony we went to the Scioto Mile Bridge and The Ohio Statehouse for outside photos. It was on fire!!

I truly feel like we’re being spoiling with the BEST couples this wedding season!! So much dreamy, fiery magic!! Thank you all for making these last four weeks so special!! I loved spending every minute of it with you!!
