Something a little new + fun for this Tuesday. A couple times a month, I’ll be blogging about my weekends. A little behind the scenes of Life with Ashley Rene… sounds so official! Haha!! These posts will have sneak peeks from sessions, a little about each couple or family, + everything country cottage. Thats what we call our house, just in case you’re new around here. I hope you enjoy :)

This was my first weekend completely booked with all things photography. Miranda + Nick’s wedding at The Columbus Athenaeum on Saturday + then three sessions on Sunday. Usually my Sundays are spent recovering but with the weather changing, finally, I’m starting busy season off with a bang.

HOW I’ve missed it!!

Miranda was ready for the rain with three back up plans, making my type A planning heart sing!! We started their day at The Ohio Statehouse, then went to The Ohio Theatre, + were able to catch a break in the rain for bridge shots at Bicentennial Park. It really was a wonderful day!!

Sunday started out with Max’s first birthday photos. His actual birthday is today… Happy Birthday buddy!! Courtney + Mike joke about me being their official family photographer. I shot their wedding, her brothers engagement + wedding, their maternity, Max’s newborn, a family session last fall, + now Max’s first birthday. So what started out as a joke, has become the truest form of friendship. To be honest, this is my goal with each family I spend a wedding day with. I want to be friends for a lifetime!! I want to watch your families grow!! Hopefully you can watch mine too :)

My second session was another first birthday session. Harper. She is so sweet + I loved watching her little personality shine. Shelby + Matt are one of my 2019 wedding couples. They are tying the knot in October. We took Harpers photos in Gantz Park in Grove City. It was a cute little space in the gardens + near a farmhouse. Perfect for a Sunday stroll!!

Morgan + Tyler drove all the way from Findlay for their session. We met at Frank Fetch Park in German Village + walked the streets. It was their first time in downtown Columbus so I had a blast showing them around. They loved all the brick roads, well maintained landscapes, + red doors!!

We then ventured to Inniswood Metro Gardens. Another first for them :) It was a great change from the bustling streets of downtown.

Thank you all for making my weekend special!! I loved spending every minute of it with you!!
