Emily and Andy celebrated their love and marriage with the help from their closest friends and family at the beautiful St. Brigid of Kildane + St. Charles last year. Their wedding day was truly perfect. They were blessed with sunny skies, a stunning venue and a crowd of loved ones that were eager to celebrate these two.
Andy and Emily met in July 2014 online. Emily joined a Catholic dating site with a friend, just for fun, and within the first 24 hours Andy and her were sending messages back and forth. They quickly bonded over their shared experience at the University of Dayton, and after a few weeks of talking they decided to meet. They met at Moretti's Italian Restaurant and found themselves talking until the restaurant was ready to close. After their easy going first date, they continued to see each other every week and quickly grew close. For the next year and a half they got to know one another, fell in love, and the rest is history.
Andy and Emily were engaged on Christmas Eve 2015. Andy had been secretly arranging the event for weeks without Emily realizing. He even snuck into her home with a ring sizer to determine her ring size :) He called her dad for permission to ask her to marry him and arranged a trip to purchase Bill's Donuts (their favorite food from their time at UD) for the holiday celebrations with their families. That day, Andy picked up Emily and they headed to Dayton on their donut quest, but when they arrived at Bill's they found the shop closing down for the holiday season. They bought the last remaining donuts and muffins and decided to head to the University of Dayton to see the Christmas decorations on their way back home. It was such a warm day they were able to walk around campus without their coats, but Andy carried his with him anyway (that should have been Emily's first clue that something was up). After walking through campus, they stopped at the base of the giant 60 ft. tall Christmas tree set up in the center of Humanities Plaza. There, Andy got down on one knee, pulled the ring box from his coat, asked Emily to be his wife, and to spend forever with him. Of course, she said yes!!! They had campus all to themselves and as they walked around the beautiful grounds, they let it soak in that they were going to get their happily ever after.
From the moment that I met Emily and Andy, I fell in love with their sweet and laid back personalities. These two were so calm and collected on their wedding day and couldn’t wait to dance the night away. Congrats again to Andy and Emily! Many hugs and best wishes to a beautiful and loving future.
