Vanessa and James met when her boss' wife and his former boss' wife set us up on a blind date. They met for lunch at Milo's Capital Cafe in the Ohio Statehouse. After that, James wanted to go on a "real" date... his words! So he took Vanessa to Bravo for dinner and the dollar theatre to see The Hundred Foot Journey.
James proposed while they were hiking at Mohican State Park. He pulled the ring out of his pocket- without a box!! In Vanessa's surprise, she took the ring and put it on her own finger... before officially saying yes! Whoops!! The beautiful diamond was a family heirloom. It originally belonged to James' great aunt. His father used the diamond to propose to his mother, who then graciously suggested James use it for Vanessa's ring. All the heart eyes!!
They were married on a gorgeous April day at Linworth Baptist Church. Their wedding day was stunning and flawless. I don’t believe any mishaps could have brought down their spirits. The only thing that mattered to these two was that they were celebrating their love with their family and closest friends.
Vanessa and James, thank you from the bottom of my heart for inviting me into your lives and allowing me to document your wedding day. You two are amazing and I’m incredibly grateful for having the chance to get to know you and your families. I wish the two of you nothing but the best!! Cheers!!
